MediaStorm’s Kingsley’s Crossing by Olivier Jobard, is the recipient of the 2007 Emmy Award for Documentary/NonFiction for Broadband.
Katrina: An Unnatural Disaster, a multimedia which I worked on as part of a MediaStorm team hired by the Open Society Institute, has won a 2008 Webby Award in the Charitable Organizations Nonprofit category. The New York Times hailed The Webbys as the “Oscars of the Internet.”
My teammates at MediaStorm and I have been awarded Best Use of Multimedia – Small Markets, in the 2008 POYi Competition. The MediaStorm team was named in seven of the 26 multimedia awards given.
In mid-January, I had the honor to speak to students and faculty at the prestigious S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University. My presentation focused on the new opportunities for narrative storytelling available to journalists.
